Cam Newton is the 2012's NEXT Cover Athlete

Less than an hour ago the ESPN and ESPN The Magazine Facebook pages announced that Carolina Panthers Quarterback Cam Newton is the ESPN The Magazine's annual NEXT issue cover.

The post has more than 3000 likes and 500 comments so far (and the number is still growing).

The issue will be on newsstands next Friday, December 30, and features young athletes including Carolina Panthers Quarterback Cam Newton, Kentucky Wildcats Forward Anthony Davis, Miami Marlins Rightfielder Mike Stanton, Edmonton Oilers Center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, among others.

Cam Newton, 22 years old, is an American football quarterback for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He became the third player to win the Heisman Trophy, a national championship. Also he was the first rookie quarterback in NFL history to throw for 400 yards in his NFL regular-season opener.

The Dog Whisperer answers fan questions

Cesar Millan (The Dog Whisperer) is answering questions made by fans on the Facebook page of National Geographic Channel. People have sent questions like "Which breed of dog is easiest to train?" , "Why my dog howls when no one is around?" and "How human should act when meeting a dog for the first time?" .

On each wall post of the channel people will find a video where The Dog Whisperer answers the question.

About Cesar Millan The Dog Whisperer


Cesar Millan is a famous dog trainer which was born in Mexico. The TV series he starred The Dog Whisperer was premiered on September 13, 2004 on the National Geographic Channel and now airs only on Nat Geo WILD. In this moment it is on its seventh season and broadcast in more than eighty countries worldwide. Millan also visit different countries to present events where he talk about his experience as a dog trainer.

Total Lunar Eclipse This Weekend (Last One Until 2014)

On Saturday (10th of December of 2011) full moon will turn to a red color due to the last total lunar eclipse until 2014.

The page News.nationalgeographic.com has a full review of the event and also the facebook page of National Geographic has a wall post where visitors can comment. After six hours that the post was published it has more than six thousand likes and almost 300 comments.

The lunar eclipse will be visible on the far western portion of North America, East Asia and Australia. It will start on saturday at 4:45 a.m. Pacific Time.

About Lunar Eclipses

This beautiful event where the Moon turns red occurs when the full moon, Earth and the sun get aligned. This makes that the moon crosses through Earth's shadow. The event only happens a few times a year.
