Donkey Kong 64: What a Huge Game!

I remember when I first played a Donkey Kong game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Then it came the Donkey Kong Country era for the Super Nintendo which gave us three amazing games: DKC 1, 2 and 3. After that iconic games, it came the end of an era of DK games: DK64. What a long game! It’s maybe the longest game that I have never played.

The adventure is completely in 3D which was an upgrade because all the DK earlier games were on 2D. You can control 5 characters: DK, Diddy Kong, Lanky Kong, Tiny Kong and Chunky Kong. Each one has special abilities which are necessary to unlock new paths and secrets. The mission of the player in the game is to save all the members of the Kong family because all of them have been trapped by the antagonist King K. Rool. In addition, you have to collect bananas. Each character has bananas that just he or she can obtain, so, in order to complete the game, you will have to return to levels in which you were before.

The game graphics are outstanding, specially the textures and the light effects.
