Let’s imagine that you publish 100 posts on your site or blog and you hope to receive visits from other people. With the past of the days you see that your visits counter shows a big zero. What’s happening? Maybe your site or blog has not yet get indexed in search results, or it’s unable to get indexed. In other words, there are almost no chances for you to gain visits.
You can show your friends the url of your site and they will visit you, but no more people than the ones that know your site’s URL will be able to see your 100 posts. In that case, I strongly recommend you to take a look to the topic of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Do a search about that on web searchers and you will find articles that explain you why you are not appearing in search results. Some reasons could be that your site has, in some place of its code, a tag to not be indexed, or maybe your site or blog is too young that it has not been detected by search engines.
